Dewy Golf is built on one idea: the phone should stay in your pocket. That means we collect only what we need to make the app work — and nothing more.
What we collect
When you use Dewy Golf, we may collect:
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account.
- Round data — scores, hole-by-hole stats, and round timestamps that you record within the app.
- Location data — approximate location is used to identify your course and orient the app during a round. We do not store precise GPS traces.
- Device information — device model, OS version, and app version, used for crash diagnostics and compatibility.
- Usage analytics — anonymized, aggregated usage patterns (e.g., feature tap counts) to understand what's working.
We do not collect payment information directly — purchases are processed through the Apple App Store under Apple's privacy terms.
How we use it
Your data is used to:
- Power the scorecard and round history features in the app.
- Sync your rounds across your devices via iCloud (if enabled).
- Diagnose crashes and improve app performance.
- Send you infrequent product updates if you opt in.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to build advertising profiles. We do not share it with third parties except as described below.
Third-party services
Dewy Golf uses a limited number of third-party services:
- Apple iCloud — optional sync of your round data across devices. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Kit (email marketing) — if you join our waitlist or newsletter, your email address and any optional information you provide (such as platform interest) are stored in Kit, our email platform. Kit acts as a data processor on our behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send. Kit's privacy policy is available at kit.com/privacy.
If the app crashes, diagnostic logs may be sent directly to us through Apple's standard crash reporting. No third-party analytics or crash reporting services receive your data.
Data retention
Your round data is stored for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's Settings screen. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We'll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of Dewy Golf after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
