What is Dewy Golf?
Dewy Golf is an automatic golf scorecard for iPhone. The phone stays in your pocket while you play, and the app detects each swing, places the shot on the map, and keeps the scorecard up to date. Apple Watch is optional and improves swing detection.
Do I need any special hardware?
No. There are no club sensors to buy, no tags to attach, and nothing extra to charge. An iPhone alone is enough to play a round. If you wear an Apple Watch, Dewy Golf will use it to improve swing detection.
How does automatic shot tracking work?
An on-device motion model identifies the impact of a real golf swing and discards practice waggles, stretches, and unrelated movement. GPS places each shot on the course map. In testing, Dewy Golf logs 98%+ of real swings without you touching the phone.
Does it work without a cell signal?
Yes. When you start a round, the course is pre-cached to your device. The motion model and scorecard run entirely on-device, so weak coverage on the back nine is fine. Your round syncs to the cloud once you are back in range.
What are Game Passes? How do subscriptions work?
Dewy Golf offers two paid options. A yearly subscription gives you unlimited rounds and renews automatically until you cancel. Game Passes are a one-time purchase that covers a single round, useful if you only play a few times a year. All payments are handled by Apple through the App Store, and you can manage or cancel anytime from your Apple ID settings. Refunds follow Apple's standard refund policy.
How do I pair the Apple Watch app?
Install the Dewy Golf companion on your Apple Watch from the Watch app on your iPhone. Once both apps are installed and signed in to the same Apple ID, the watch pairs automatically when you start a round on either device. No extra setup is required.
Which courses are supported?
Dewy Golf launches with courses across the United States and Japan, with more countries coming soon. If your home course is missing, contact us through the in-app support link and we will get it added.
What data is collected, and how do I get help?
Dewy Golf collects only what is needed to make the app work: account info, the rounds you record, approximate location to identify your course, and basic device diagnostics.
